HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE IMAGES?
When your images are ready, you will be emailed a link to view your gallery online. From here you will be offered the option to purchase as many of your images as you wish, unless you booked one of our all-inclusive packages, in which case you won’t have to pay extra to gain access to your hi-res digital images.
•
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR OUR PHOTOS TO BE READY?
Our delivery time depends on the time of year, but we often advise your photos will be ready 2 to 4 weeks after your session. We will give you an estimate at the end of your session based on our workload at the time of your photoshoot. (Not applicable for those who purchase Express Editing, or have Express Editing included)
•
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL THERE BE?
It will always be the two of us shooting, unless one of us is ill, in which case we would offer you the possibility to choose between a longer session to make sure to capture plenty of images, or a cancellation.
Only one of us will be hosting a solo portrait session.
•
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF SCOTLAND?
Yes we do! We always feel honoured when we are asked to travel. Please get in touch to discuss terms, every travel session is different.
•
HOW CAN I MAKE A PAYMENT?
Payment can be made via bank transfer, PayPal payments or through our booking system which accepts card payments.
•
DO YOU CAPTURE VIDEO TOO?
We definitely can! Videography is available as an add-on to any of our photography packages. If you are interested in both photography and video we can divide the work and have one of us dedicated to capturing images whilst the other films. Get in touch to discuss your film ideas and lets plan your super session for you and your partner!

WHEN SHOULD WE ENQUIRE?
Any time is a great time! Depending on the time of the year we can accept last minute bookings for couple photography up to a few days before your ideal date. But we always recommend to book as early as possible to make sure that we are available for you.
For elopements, the earlier you book the more chance you’ll have to enjoy the experience stress-free! Remember - we recommend at least 12 weeks to process the appropriate documents you need to legally marry in Scotland.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER FORECAST ON THE DAY OF OUR SHOOT?
Good question!
First thing that you need to know is that the weather is very unpredictable here, you cannot really trust the forecast in advance. We will always have to wait until at least the day before to have an accurate idea.
We tend to wait until the very last minute to make a cancellation. But if the weather forecast isn’t on our side we offer a few options:
- Postpone the photoshoot. Bad weather doesn’t usually last all day, we always try and be flexible and we will always try and offer alternative time slots, whether it is a few hours earlier or later or even different days depending on your flexibility.
or
- Cancelling with refund. If the weather makes it impossible to run a photoshoot and we can’t find an alternative time slot then we will cancel the shoot with a 100% refund.
We do like the rain though! We’re in Scotland after all, and your images will reflect that. If you’re happy to go ahead, so are we.
•
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If we have to cancel the session because of covid restrictions or bad weather you will be refunded 100%.
Every cancellation is different. We're not strict, but refunds will depend on circumstance. We will keep your deposit as a retainer against a future date, or if the booking is cancelled for any reason other than covid restrictions of bad weather.

WHO OWNS THE IMAGES?
We retain the rights to use all images taken as Rose & Julien. We do offer the option to purchase full ownership of images to those who wish. We always ask permission from the appropriate guardian before sharing any images from family sessions including photographs of children.
